Demos

Unfortunately we have had to review our demo policy recently as we have been averaging
7 - 10 demos a day the past two months and we just can’t keep up. We are only a small operation and only Ian listens to the demos initially to decide and there just are not enough hours in the day. On top of that we have 2010 fully booked now pretty much and want to reserve space for artists already on the label. However, we always said we wanted Home Normal to be there for artists who wanted their work to be heard. With this in mind we will keep the Soundcloud dropbox if you wish to upload something and welcome emails inviting us to links (like myspace for example) of their work. Please send ONLY fully completed work, and initially only two or three tracks. We cannot get back to most of you, and if we do it might not be for a matter of months, such is the time we take to consider some work and just how much we have to get through. Please only send work that fits the ethos of the label - we don’t want banging techno or death metal as much as we do genuinely enjoy well done work in such genres. If we don’t get back, please send us a reminder after a couple of months but don’t keep asking as it means we are either a.) too busy b.) not interested enough or c.) both of the above.
