Mariska Baars

mariskabaarsMost of the time Mariska Baars composes and performs as soccer Committee. She likes the act of endlessly zooming in on a particular sound; to try and follow its path to the point where it becomes totally inaudible. This attitude towards sound and music becomes clear when listening to one of soccer Committee’s extremely detailed songs.

She has been collaborating with with Rutger Zuydervelt since 2006, resulting in a.o. ‘Clay’, ‘Zeeg’, ‘Drawn’, ‘Redrawn’ and ‘Grisgris’.
